Alaga is a marketplace platform operated by IACy International FZCO ("we", "us", "IACy") that connects families seeking household and caregiving services ("Seekers") with independent service providers ("Providers"). IACy provides the platform only and is not a party to the service agreement between Seekers and Providers.
You must be at least 18 years of age to use Alaga. By registering, you confirm that all information you provide is accurate and complete. Alaga is available worldwide, with particular focus on users in the UAE and EU.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account. IACy reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
Providers pay a one-time onboarding fee (EUR 10) and a monthly subscription fee (EUR 5) to maintain an active profile. Seekers pay a platform booking fee (EUR 2) per confirmed booking. All fees are non-refundable unless required by applicable law. Fees may be updated with 30 days notice.
Providers represent that they are legally authorised to work in their stated location, that all information in their profile is accurate, that they hold any required licences or certifications for services offered, and that they will perform services professionally and as agreed with the Seeker.
Seekers agree to treat Providers with respect and dignity, to pay the agreed service rate as confirmed in the booking, and to provide accurate information about the services required. Seekers acknowledge that Providers are independent contractors, not employees of IACy.
Users must not use Alaga for any unlawful purpose, post false or misleading information, harass or abuse other users, circumvent platform fees by arranging off-platform payments after initial contact through Alaga, or use the platform for any purpose that violates the rights of others.
IACy is a technology platform and intermediary only. We do not employ Providers and are not liable for the quality, safety, or legality of services performed. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, IACy's total liability to any user shall not exceed the fees paid by that user in the three months preceding the claim.
For disputes between Seekers and Providers, IACy may offer mediation support but is not obligated to resolve such disputes. These Terms are governed by the laws of the UAE. For EU consumers, mandatory consumer protection rights under applicable EU law are not affected.
We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of Alaga after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We will notify registered users of material changes by email.
